Lekker braai by die Ludick familie (first iMac post)

Wat 'n lekker dag in Perth! Vandag was 26 grade, sonnig en net great. Karla-hulle se netbal span het 60-21 gewen en toe het ons daarna lekker gaan kuier en braai by Andre en Sonja-hulle. Vleis was lekker, die koek nog lekkerder en dan nog klip-en-coke ook! Dankie julle en hoop Sonja voel gou beter.

Net voor ons die pad gevat het Joondalup toe...dis Rusty se gunstelling slaap plek.

Rusty Bucket

Yep, Rusty is still behaving and settling into life with the Van Rensburg's nicely. The kids love him to bits, to the extent that Karin or I sometimes have to "save" Rusty from the kids to give him a break.

Weekend Project...

After months of thinking about it, I finally bit the bullet, bought the bits and built a large work desk for Karla and Eugene to use for homework etc. The old desk was small, dark and just not practical. Sold it and built this. Karla started using it minutes after I finished, so at least she trusts her dad's handiwork!

Meet Rusty the dog

Karin and the kids (and I) are all very happy to finally have a family pet again. We named him "Rusty".

Today we took it easy. I was in Freo at 6am to read the newspaper at Gino's, then dashed home with coffee and hot-chocolate for Ka & the kids. I copied all the photo's we're printing for my folks (of their visit) and then off to netball we went. Karla's team won 51-13, and she had a cracker game. Good stuff princess!

From netball we went to Woollies for odds-and-sods, Bunnings for new washing line and I also finally bought a decent bicycle wheel pump. Works like a charm! Why haven't I bought one 10 years ago!?!

The last hours were spent weeding, I unpacked and cleaned the shed and we also had the usual braai. It was surprisingly warm today too, with beautiful sunshine all day long. I LOVE Perth! What a place.

...next weekend is (I think?) Potjie at Greg's place, or perhaps the week thereafter, we'll see :-)



Gino's at 6:15 this morning, and the usual crowd is in. Best time of the day.
