Bunburry & Cape Naturaliste day trip

Decided to take a day-trip down South with my parents, who unfortunately cancelled at the last minute, but we went anyway and had a great time. Just beautiful down in the South-West of WA.

First stop - The Crooked Carrot for coffee.

Then we moved on to the Bunburry Farmers Market. Wow! If you've never bee, and you can go, GO! Great spot, amazing prices and quality.

Now that our bellies were sorted, it was the last hour's drive to get to Cape Naturaliste and then lunch at Clancy's (no photo's of lunch).

Fake braai,...of is 'it Vuyk?

Lekker, rustige middag saam met die Vuyk's, Skieps en ons gesin. Aaah, roll-on Monday.

Diep dinge, moet wees...

Lekker in die sonnetjie.

Aikona, nou lyk dit of botter in daai bek sou smelt, maar net minute
vroeer wou sy my Jeep vreet!

Ja, hier is evidence.

Kalahari stop

After an unexpectedly busy weekend last week, we are taking things slower this weekend. Coffee and cake in Leederville, followed by Vetkoek lunch at Kalahari. Nice.

Eugene playing with a Kaleidoscope in Leederville.

Waiting for his Vetkoek, with Karin's Rooibos Latte in front of him...
...and my Peri-Peri sauce standing by....

Condiments anyone?

Nagaland + 8 hours = Ring-sting

Lily swimming at Shoalwater Reserve & a braai

After last weekends camping on the Weimann farm, we decided to have a chilled weekend. Before mowing the lawn and washing windows (yeah, not very relaxing) we took Lily down to the beach for her first swim since last summer. She loved it, Eugene loved it and we loved it. Blessed to call this home.

It was just after 9am when we arrived, and stumbled upon two Blue Tongue Lizards baking in the sun.
This one had finished warming up, and was trying to get away.

Part of the new jetty at Shoalwater. Nice.

Some pics of Lily getting her swim "on". She loved it!
You can't see it here, but she swam in as far as her lead would go (9m).

...and yes, Eugene just HAD to get into the water with her.

Bok and Pop arrived at about 2 o'clock. We listened to music, braai'd some chops etc. Very relaxing.

Karin in her happy-place. X
Cheecks a bit red from the 2 hour walk in the sun on the beach.
