Lancelin Dunes - Second Outing with Ma en Pa

First time out with Greg and Briar's Fortuner, and also met BJ and Jean, with their awesome Nissan Patrol. The downside was it rained almost all the way there and was between 13-17 degrees. Once we got to Lancelin thankfully it stopped, and we hit the pie-shop as usual.

Then, onto the main event. Fun! All this practise should serve us well in Kalbarri and on the Murchison Station tracks.

A quick coffee before we stop at Greg & Briar's...

The obligatory pie shop stop in Lancelin :-)

Unfortunately the beach access was blocked due to unusually high tides erroding the beach.

Jean and Briar warming up with some coffee.

Deflating tires and putting up the sand-flags.

Nice new wheels, and yes, we fixed up that lazy flag ;-)

Just after a good test of the approach angles, and the verdict is,...

Greg and I need,.......

...Bullbars.

Thanks Jean for the group pic. Yours was way better than mine.

Nissan's approach angle is moooorreee than adequate, haha.

...Padkos.

BJ and Greg went down this. I chickened out (but only because it is not my car....yet).

Eugene and Bok with the dunes in the distance.

Jakkals checking just how tough a Toyota really is (pretty tough evidently!).

Picnic time just behind the dunes and beach. Lekker.

Eugene's Yr6 School Camp - Bickley, W.A

How time flies. Not that long ago Karla left for her primary school camp, and now she is already doing her first year at Uni. On Tuesday Eugene, also at Kardinya Primary, had his turn to go on his school camp too.

Yes, he was super-excited, and his group of mates were talking loudly about the prospects of adventure that lay ahead, with no Mum, Dad or big sister to inhibit him. Scary...(for the teachers, haha).
