Karin's first Xmas cake in WA

Despite the heat Karin decided that this cake, which we dose daily with brandy, just had to be baked now so it could mature. Who, I ask you, am I to argue?

Karin's trusty Kenwood Chef still churns out the one great mixture after the other. We still bought this at Meyers in Sydney back in 2006.

As you can imagine the kids love watching, and then "cleaning" the left-overs (see photo below).

Little brother watching big sister as mum starts to teach her the tricks of the trade. Cute, hey?!

On a sugar high...

Told you, it was bound to happen. As an impartial photographer I simply cannot intervene in these matters.

Mmmmm!

Braai with Nat & Bevan

So, after all the months spent adjusting to WA, getting furniture sorted and so on, we finally had our first people over for a braai. The test-run worked well, so everyone else get ready!

Mmmmm! Melktert!! Just for Natalie, Bev and young Van.

In the 3 weeks since we last saw Natalie her baby-bump has grown dramatically! Wow, and does the young fella kick?! Bevan reckons he'll definately be a young rugby player. Can there be any doubt?

Sharing the experience. Way, way cool! Karla was amazed.

Standard fare: Chops, boerewors, potato-salad and freshly baked rolls.

Some Aussie-beef sausages a mate of mine got me onto. $10 for 2kg's! Ideal for the kids (and us...)
