Me, Gene and some general pics

Eugene and I outside our house on Saturday morning. Karla went to netball, but the poor girl was sick later in the day.

The new, thinner me. I know it's vain, but I am proud of sticking to it. The shirt is the same as one I sent to Karin's brother
in South Africa; him being an avid angler.

Eugene, with chocolate muffin left-overs in his teeth and a glint in his eyes.

Bacon-and-egg for dinner. Eugene LOVES it, Karla tolerates it, haha!

The closest thing to a Savannah Dry (South African cider) you can buy in Oz. Very nice.

Gene this morning before I left for work. He still regularly crawls into our bed at about 5am, stealing Karin away from me :-)

Karla turns 12! Veels geluk on prinses!!

Karla, having her last chicken-and-chips at BLEND, as this is only for under-12's!
Blend Cafe is on Marmion Str and a great spot for a meal and coffee.

The woodfired oven in the background. I had chilli-mussels and Karin had a super-delicious
pizza, called a Little Red riding hood (or something like that).

Geno-bobeno.

Last Friday we drove down to Cottesloe beach. It was raining and we sat in the car enjoying our
coffee (kids had milkshakes), listening to country music with the waves breaking in the background.

Silly-season; just before bed-time he normally turns into a silly-billy.

Coffee from Gino's in Freo. Mmmm!

Just before Netball this morning. The sun was a little bright, thus the squinty-eyes.

Checking Karla's nails before the game.

F104 Racing chassis - The Build in picture

So, I started building the chassis kit last night, and ~11 hours later it is built, running and painted. So, now all that remains is to race it in "anger". Can't wait. The colour-scheme is Senna inspired. He was the best after all.

6:10 p.m. Friday night, before the fun began.
6:41 p.m. - Prep all done, carbon-fiber chassis edges done and bag-A ready to be opened.
8:21 p.m. - Drive-train installed, rear-suspension done aside from the friction pads and oil-shock.
Both wing sets are also on and the front suspension is taking shape.
10:51 p.m. - Front suspension done and electrics almost complete. Steering system also 80% done.

Testing @ 11:55 p.m. - Phew! ...but not finished just yet. Two-and-a-half hours to go....

2:13 a.m. - Body cut out and everything just about where I wanted it before going to lala-land...at this point my back was breaking,
my arse was aching and my eyes were on fire. The things we do for the love of motorsport!
4:21 p.m., Saturday - All done (well, almost). Looks good. Now, to get some scratched and dents into it on Wednesday, when there will be a shake-down
race at the club. First official points race is on 29th April. I have 3 sets of tyres, with 2 more compound on the way from Hong Kong.

Kalgoorlie Road Trip gallery

Hi all. Been a while since I posted here, but things have been hectic. We travelled East to Kalgoorlie over the Easter Weekend. I have posted some pictures on my web-site here.

Here is a sample for you...
