Wedge with the Neuman's and Karin's BT50

WA turned on the Autumn weather again big-time on Saturday. There was a breeze in the morning, but it died down by mid-day, and from then on Wedge Island was even more spectacular than usual. Wow, wow, wow, what a place.

L to R: Trailblazer (Bettie), Ka's BT50 and Greg's 4Tuner. Blessed to have such nice trucks.

Eugene and Karla love these outings. Karla was asleep inside the tub-tray of the bakkie.

The day-trip "camp" setup. Works a charm. Rhino Sunseekers.

After 5 years, and a 106,000km of loyal service, we traded Karin's Hyundai in on her first bakkie, a Mazda BT50. Zoom Zoom!

Easter Sosatie braai - Social distancing has a positive side too

Like most, we are pretty much stuck at home, which is hard, especially when you typically spend weekends in the bush or on the beach camping. It sucks.

...but, with lemons let's make lemonade... In our case it has means braai upon braai and taking the time to make things (e.g. the sosaties and garlic bread you see here), rather than shop-bought.

Karin and the kids have also stayed busy gardening and painting.

Sosaties - Chicken tenders, mushrooms, apricots, red-pepper marinated in
Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, honey, garlic and soy sauce.

The new Southern Cross windmill we bought in Harvey a couple of weeks back
in the garden Karin and Eugene made.

Mmmmm!

Karla's bee bath...

Karla's first attempt at a bona-fide landscape. Is she talented or what?!
Pragtig my kind, ons is so trots op jou!
