Yesterday was the big day, and we are now officially Australian! Great day and the ceremony itself was short, but sweet. We celebrated in the only Aussie eatery we could readily think of, "Outback Jacks", and it was good too. All-in-all a wonderful day.

A nice stress-reliever braai and party!
We all needed it...
T-Bones. We could not remember when last we'd had these, and they were awesome!
Boerewors in the one, prawns and T-Bones in the other.
...and then things started getting jolly!
MC, with his amazingly blue eye, explaining to "oom Bren" that this is a snake.
One-arm push-ups by Ironman and Superman.
Ask NO questions.....
Outside on the Asphalt machine.
Just before the party moved indoors, it moved onto the back of the bakkie.
Geno and Phillip had a great time, building lego for hours.
The picture wall.

Christmas Tree 2013
Hard to believe, but it is that time of year again. Karin pulled the tree out of the shed today, and we all put it up together. As Karla and Eugene get older this is becoming an increasingly noisy and chaotic affair. Throw in Rusty with his "satelite dish" and you have a recipe for near mad-house type scenes...it is done now, so peace has returned and Eugene is in bed, and off with the fairies.
Not complaining; actually love it! They are both "wille pille" kids!
Like I said...excuse Eugene; he was tired and wanting to throw exotic poses...
The kids and Rusty with his "satelite dish" finally sitting still for 0.0001 seconds to allow me to take a half in-focus picture.
Karla yesterday at Leighton Beach, digging for sand-crabs (which were MIA).

Serpentine Dam, W.A.
About 40 minutes from home is the main water-supply dam to Perth, called the Serpentine Dam, presumably due to it's shape when viewed from the air.
A view from the "Cafe on the Dam" outside eating area. The Ring-Neck's here are VERY tame, readily sitting on your shoulder to eat.
Karin and the kids waiting for me at the foot of the stair, with the pump-house in the background.
Karin, the dam road and spillway at right.
A look down the spillway, as it was blasted through the hill.
