Briar's Birthday brekkie and footy prize-giving

After a really hectic week in Melbourne, we took it easy on Saturday before having a pretty full-on Sunday. First we had to head down to Freo for breakfast with all our friends, with the key occasion being Briar's birthday. With all the kids there you had to keep your wits about you, but fortunately the people at Little Creatures also provide entertainment for them (phew!).

We took up a 16-seater table, plus...

Lesmurdie Falls hike with the kids

Just 40 minutes from home, a short way up into the WA hills, is Lesmurdie Falls. Well worth the visit and 2 hours (round-trip) hike. I would not do it in summer though.

"Baardman" (or The bearded man). . .

...at first he said he slipped in the shower..., but then we found out the little tyke got hold of one of Karla's razors and wanted to have his first shave. Very funny in hind-sight and I get a VERY grumpy face (or a sly smile) each time I call him "Baardman!", haha.
