Lily, Karla's first "Melktert" and Karin baking Chicken Pie

Snaps from a relaxed weekend around the house, with a short trip to Freo on Sunday. Karla was working on the Sunday, and we went home at ~midday, so Karin could bake (my all-time favourite) Chicken Pie.

Next weekend, being long weekend, we may head into the bush, and pitch a tent somewhere. Blessed here in Oz.

Melktert pastry, for the crust, being mixed...
My two girls; Karin teaching Karla how it is done.

Mum is done, while Karla (like her dad) is over-doing and over-analysing the process ;-)

All done. Karin just putting the final touches on.

Braai time. While my folks were over, Karla was finalising her readings lists and parking for Uni, which starts
on Monday. Exciting times!

Lily Sunday morning. Our baby!

Geno waiting for his poached-eggs on toasts at Ootong & Lincoln in Freo.

Freshly baked sourdough bread and hot-cross buns from one of the best bakeries in town.

Doing what most kids his age do (when we allow it, which is not that often).
PS4 Spider Man.

Ka preparing the freshly cooked chicken for the pie. Mmm, can't wait!

Straylia Day 2015

We celebrated Australia Day a little early (Saturday), mainly to use the cooler weather before the high 30'ies hit, which turned out was a good move. Sam Kekovich would be proud, as lamb was on the menu, and it was superb. Thanks Petie and Mariana!

Our mates up North also had a braai, but were bad-spanners cooking beef kebabs and boerewors, haha!

What more could a man want?!

Just waiting to say grace before they tucked in. MC was a big boy, saying the prayer ;-)

Malva Pudding.....yes, it was GOOOOOD! (I think?)

Some sort of negotiation underway for toys, or games or movies or something, haha!

Nightcap. Thanks Jakkals!
