Oktoberfest 2020 - Weimann Farm

Some quick initial photo's from the weekend, snapped with my new snazzy Canon RP full-frame camera. Looks good. The bulk of the images (100+) will be posted on Flickr tonight.

Wokalup Easter Camp (2 nights, 3 days)

During the Easter break we were invited to stay on the Weimann farm (thanks all), and as usual it was good for the mind, body and soul. If we ever had the opportunity, we would buy such a block in a flash! When you camp out here, drive in the bush and sit under the stars, you just know we were not really built for the city; not South-African or West-Aussies anyway. 

Camping and 4WD'ing is huge here in WA, and our community loves it. Can't wait to get back out into the bush...

Eugene's driving a car for the first time in his life. Proud that it was in a 4WD and in the bush.

Love it; have never bonded with a car like this before :-) 

Day 2 - In the bush sawing some fallen trees, fixing the fence line and stocking the shed for the Donkey.

The wood-fired Donkey boiler shower.
This must be the best shower in the world, bar-none.
There is nothing like showering in the cool morning or evening air, with no roof,
while the heat from the boiler keeps the chill at bay. Love, love, love it.

The Rock Garden, (which is behind me; see below) where we took Kenny's Axial for a spin.
We then followed with the real thing about 30 minutes later.
Glad to report that the Trailblazer made it up and down with no fuss. Me = Happy.
