Jarrahdene - Trip II

After the excellent first trip down to the South-West corner of WA, we decided to head back down there with our close friends, Nickey and Elize. The kids elected to stay home too, so it was an unusually quiet (in a good way) weekend.

It was an unusual trip down there, simply as I had been in Wagin all day for work, so already had a 5 hour trip behind me before we left for Jarrahdene. We left at 5pm, so only arrived at 8 (in the dark; like Ronny Dahl does all the time haha!).

Karin striking a pose on our way to the campsite.
We were on the final 15 minute stretch, having just left Witchcliffe, when we hit a juvenile kangaroo (about 1 meter tall). Fortunately we had a bull bar, and the ABS worked awesome, so the roo was not seriously hurt either. Certainly gave us both an Adrenalin rush though!

The bull bar saved us from damage after hitting the small Roo.

Boranup Forest drive, on our way to North Point.

Nickey and Elize's trusty 1998 Prado. Impressive for such a "mature" truck.

Cosy Corner beach. Top spot!

Breakfast anyone?

Stopped in at Coramup on the way home for some coffee and freshly baked Sourdough bread.
